First and foremost, what kind of music do you want to learn/play. Are you left or right handed. How long have you been playing on your own?YOU have to find the right guitar that fits you, Acoustic or Electric.
Personality l have a 6 and 12 string Electric Ovation which, for as long as l live l will not part with, l had for many many many year’s along with other guitar’s
That guitar is an instrument that will become a part of you.The touch, feel, sound and that smell. The smell of the wood. As far as a teacher, don’t pick the first one you meet .Shop around, ask around. Ask the teacher what he likes to play, how long he’s been playing, what made him/her first pick up any instrument. Just don’t hear, listen to what they say. Watch how they play. Finally, learn and play with long hour’s, hard work and passion. You may think l’m crazy, listen to your guitar, it has a way to communicate, to bond, and you will do the same.
